What is the future of Photography?

It is amazing, that although there is a digital divide that exists in relation to the technological advancement of the twenty first century, almost every individual GLOBALLY has been exposed to photography, from a simple encounter with an image to the use of a camera.

Photography has certainly developed over the years from the use of roll film and box camera to the current use of digital cameras. We the users and the audience of Photography are fully aware of its development and the manner in which it has contributed to our current day lifestyles; it has impacted on the way in which we communicate in the current global village. Photography enables us to adopt current trends, formulate our opinions about different topics of concern and it has with out a doubt impacted positively, on the preservation of our memories in a variety of ways.

Digital photography was the last major revolution in the photography industry and it has contributed substantially to the growth of the industry and to the further development of the photographic world. It has impacted positively on the photographic world in that it has contributed to the continuous increase in the use of cameras of present day. The question we should ask our self is WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF PHOTOGRAPHY? Digital photography has impacted to a large extent in the photography industry, so we should certainly consider what the next revolution of photography is and how it will impact on our lives and in the world of photography.

The question of the future of photography is one I love to ponder. It seems there are general trends that are happening. It appears that the ability to take a photograph is getting easier and better. In all aspects of the industry the bar is being constantly raised. Better cameras, smaller cameras, lighter more durable plastics, purer glass, focusing meters it goes on and on. I always imagine a sci-fi future where we eventually have nano cams implanted in our retinas, where our brains are hardwired to the internet.

what is the future of photography? that is a scary thought when you consider how much technology has advanced and how it is just taking over the world. i remember a time baeck in the days when you had to buy a roll of film in order to take pictures on your camera. nowadays you don't even need to have a camera beacuse our cellphones do the just and some cellphones do the job better than cameras. the coolest thing about these cellphone cameras and digital camera is that you are guaranteed never to print a picture you don't like beacuse you can delete a picture and take it again until it is to you liking and even coller is taht you can change the lighting and brightness of the picture to suit your liking. but what scares me is that pictures can be digitally modified and super-imposed. this is scary beacuse once a picture is out there people can do anything to it. for example they can take your head and digitally stick it on a naked body..or like what Tyra Banks always emphasizes, touch ups can be done to picture nowadays, which is good for the models but bad for easily influenced young girls who think tat models are perfect when this is not true, their pictures are made to look perfect. the fure is a really scary thought.

Who knows what the future of technology will be. We have already come such a long way that I can't imagine how much more advanced it could. I also remember the days when you had to buy a roll of film then wait for it to be developed! Nowadays you can just take a bucnch of photos, put them onto your computer and most people have facilities at home that allow them to print onto photo paper. With digital cameras one is also able to take a photo and see how it looks - before you had to wait until the photo was developed to tell whether the photo had come out or not! Also with the advancements of cell phones you do not even need to own a camera. Cell phones have now become compact cameras that you are able to make a phone call with. People are also able to manipulate photos on certain programs such as photoshop in order to touch up a few wrinkles you might not want exposed or a pimple you forgot to cover up that day. While the development of photography is amazing I still have no idea where it will lead. It has already made its way onto our cell phones, who knows where it will see itself next!

Moving on to the future of photography, photography have really developed over the years, i am sure that where ever you go people have pictures, even though there is digital divide but i believe photographs still play a major part in peoples lives. HI. photography has developed rapidly and i think has reached a point in which improvments to colour and texture of photos can only increse. the digitalization of photography has enabled photography to reach its height and inorder for photography to improve and evolve there needs to be a huge break through in photogaphy technology that is, new ways of taking out photos, that is rather different than the ways we use to day
